Shetland pony


The Shetland pony is very popular around the world. They are one of the smallest breeds of pony along with the fallabella(see post on the 19th of december) They grow up to about 42 inches(107cm). Shetlads are measured in inches and centimeters not hands. They originate from the shetland iles in scotland. They come in every colour except pink,blue and green, They can be one colour such as bay,grey,black or chestnut or muticoloured such as piebald or strew bald. They are used for driving genral riding or showing, there is even a shetland pony grand national. Most are strong and intelligent.
